Shoes & Bags, essential items

Here we are

Firstly; Happy New Year!!!! Yes; we know that has passed 23 days but better late than not saying it; don’t you think?

To get started we would like to apologize for being two months without posting any article and just uploading two pictures on our Instagram. As we said in the biography of the blog; we are two university students and this two months has been heavy, full of works and final examinations which we gamble almost each subject. So today; as soon as we have finished, we are here again wanting to explain you each new, trends and everything and more of this world that we are so passionate about; fashion.

We must communicate a novelty, we are going to post from now on all our articles in two languages; we have to admit that we have invested plenty of our summer time translating all our articles to a new web called Lemon Trendy Esp; but we have finally decided that it’s more easy to just have one Blog and insert the translation below each post. If you know both languages you will be able to see that we are better in Spanish, it’s our native tongue. So, we want to apologize for our low level of English but in pros we have to say that forcing ourselves to write in English helps us to improve this language, and this is a great opportunity!

We are excited for so much, this two months are going to be awesome. Full of new articles and plans. One of them is going to be the 080 Barcelona Fashion Week that will be the following week and we have already received the invitations; we will post our daily looks and experience in our Instagram. And much more it’s going to come; do not miss it! And tomorrow… NEW ARTICLE!  #LemonTrendyNeverStops

#LemonTrendyNeverStops

To bet for knee high boots

Suede or fur shoes, decorated with belts or with different textures. Adding some cords or a zip. This year shoes are arriving to the autumn/winter season hailing attention. High heels and platforms have been also a must have.

Knee high boots have been the iconic item from each winter season, it has to be said that this kind of boot has never been old-fashioned and it has been sold each year in many colors and designs. We have always wanted one of them, but we didn’t find the right ones. The problems were always the same: they didn’t have enough heel or they didn’t fit well. Finally this year we have bet for Alessandro Simoni’s boots, an Italian designer that sells all his items, specially shoes, in Barcelona. We have taken advantage of an offer and from the 79€ they cost at the beginning, we have paid 59€. It has been an awesome bargain; here you have some pictures. Tell us what do you think! Happy Monday! 🙂

The Look of October

As we said when we birth a year, each first Friday of each month we propose our personal look mixing garments from the catwalks of the season and the actual trends. This month we have bet for a velvet skirt from Moschino with an a flounce shirt from Fendi. Laura has chosen Versace’s shoes to complete the total outfit. It’s a daring proposal for its combination of materials and textures. But we love it!

lauras-look

My look for this month has been different from my September’s Look. Now I’ve been declined to vinyl and glitter materials from Saint Laurent and Louis Vuitton. Gucci’s shoes with white tights contributes to the autumn look.

monicas-look

Both materials; vinyl and velvet are going to appear during all this autumn-winter season; and I would also bet for glitter. Colourful looks are going to be the perfect option to enliven the coming cold days.

We hope you like it, writte here your opinon. Happy Friday! 🙂 #TheLookOfTheMonth

Bring out your feline side

Felines are seen like a symbol of elegance because of its subtle and quite moves; of beauty due to furs; of agility; but felines, especially those which are domestic, are homelike animals.

This season all of these roles are embodied on garments and all kind of accessories that rise to the top the feline spirit making it more fashionable than ever. This trend is coming with power and in a naïve way.

Loewe, Chanel, Dolce&Gabbana, Just Cavalli, Gucci or Paco Rabanne are some of the fashion houses that bet for this tendency on Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 catwalks.

We can find felines in all of their extention and all kind of forms: just the panthers pattern, tiger heads, cats, cats pattern, etc.

Let us know what do you think about this trend, whether you would wear it or not.

HAPPY MONDAY!!

Maria Grazia Chiuri; the new DIOR

Raf Simons announced the past october that he wouldn’t continue the following season with the Dior maison. No-one could have imagined. But people interested in the fashion world couldn’t know that it would be more unexpected who would be the successor. Maria Grazia Chiuri, the creative director from Valentino next to Pier Pado Piccidi, would be the first woman to head the maison.

The 8th of July Dior announced the successor from Raf Simons, the first woman in Dior’s history. It’s an important change for the house, that used to be managed by males directors Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons, and of course, Christian Dior.

Chiuri maybe would give an interesting turn to the known brand, her romantic and feminine touch that has been exposed in the lasts Valentino collections. It would be contrasted with the Raf Simons’ avant-garde genre. Who knows what would happen in the following Dior’s collection; we are eager to see it.

One year; alive and kicking

Today it’s an important day for us; it’s our anniversary. We birth one year since we decided to open the fashion blog. For us it means the accomplishment of one of our goals. As we said when we opened it, we wanted to pass on news and trends related with the fashion world.

Thanks to our blog we have been able to assist to multiple Barcelona Fashion Weeks and The Bridal Week, which were some of our aims.  Our idea for this upcoming year is to, at least, assist to Madrid Fashion Week or Paris Fashion Week and meanwhile continue posting our weekly articles [on Mondays]. We would like to take this opportunity to announce our new category that will be launched this next Monday. It consists on mixing different garments seen on the catwalks by brands and creating our own proposes for the following month, trying to add new trends and our personal touch. This genre of article will be posted the first Friday of each month.

We want to thank to all those people who have followed us and have helped to achieve 12.600 views from 102 countries during this year. It has been important for us the congratulations and nice words from designers like Galia Lahav and Red Point. Thinks like this are our daily motivations.

To celebrate this first year we decided to do something special and unforgettable for us, so we have embroidered the name of the blog on a denim jacket and a shirt.

080 Barcelona Fashion Week

First of all, we would like to apologise for not being posting any article since almost a month. As we said we are students and this June has been  stressful with lot of exams and works to deliver. Now, that we have pass everything we are really happy because we have lot of new ideas for the blog, so keep in touch because this July will be the essential month. As a come early, one of our projects is to translate all our blog into Spanish so you will be able to read it in both languages: English and Spanish.

Finished our exams we were able to assist to the Fashion Week from Barcelona. Some brands invited us to the event so we were excited to assist. The 080 Barcelona Fashion Week started the past Monday, the 27th of June; but we ended our exams the 28th so our first day of the Fashion Week was the 29th. The 080 was from the 27th of June to the 1th of July. It was located in the Institut Nacional d’Educació Física a Catalunya called INEFC in Montjuic. For us, it was a good place for the dimensions and the awesome views but the location was a little bit too far from the public transports, it has to be said that the 080 arranged some buses on Plaça Espanya that carried us to the Inefc building, but despite this it was too far from the public.

The 080 Fashion Week consisted on different exhibitions from Spanish brands in the basketball court of the building and you were able to rest some time in some tables in the football pitch with one Dj and different food trucks to eat something.

The different shows from the brands were good but there where specially four exhibitions that we want to remark. First one was Bcn Brand; it was really informal and it was different from all the catwalks that we used to see. The models didn’t were as serious as always and everything was more spontaneous. The second and third one were Punto Blanco and Lola Casademunt. The last one was Red Point; the brand invited us to the Front Row and we were able to see the outfits closer than ever. All the swimsuits were awesome and each look were spectacular. Definitely our swimsuit from this summer will be one of that brand.

Now, as all the 080 Fashion Weeks that we have been, we will post our outfits, what we wore and how we wore it.

FIRST DAY 29th of June

SECOND DAY 30th of June

LAST DAY 1th of July

We hope that you like our article talking about our experience and now as we used to do, we will continue posting fashion articles each Monday and Thursday. We hope you like it; and if you do it you can comment and follow us on our Instagram to know all our news. Have a good Week!
